Hi, I’m Steve Whittington, and I lead teams in business and in the alpine. My guiding principles for both are simple: Reach higher; always remember every moment is a moment of truth and consequence; trust your team to truly know what you are capable of.
Steve Whittington is a leader in the mountains and in the business community. An avid mountaineer he has reached the summit of 49 mountains, including Mount Everest in 2013. Steve believes his leadership in the mountains has a direct application to successful leadership in his business life.
Steve describes himself as a data driven leader that creates value through a 360 organizational view and end to end focus on the customer and the customer journey.
Steve is Executive Vice President for Flaman Group of Companies, an award winning organization and he also serves as Managing Director of a boutique digital agency Graphic Intuitions. For seven years Steve was an instructor at Lethbridge College for Project Management. Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree; he is a (CSP) Certified Sales Professional; (CMS) Certified Marketing Specialist and Project Management Professional (PMP). He has served on many non-profits boards; most notable was Lethbridge Housing Authority on which he was Chair for the last two years of his six year term.
Currently Steve serves on the following non-profit boards: Treasure of Glenora Child Care Society and on the Advisory board for the marketing program of JR Shaw School of Business at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology)
Steve is an event speaker on Customer Experience, Customer Data, Leadership, Marketing and from time to time Everest. Steve resides in Edmonton.
